As a continuation of the highly successful PIPS (Professional Internships for PhD Students) Scheme. Doctoral students on this programme are expected to complete a three month internship which is distinct from their academic research project. Students from the NLD partnership have undertaken internships in four continents and have provided an extraordinary variety of organisations the benefits of their experience, whilst gaining the confidence of a new context for their skills.
Researchers can complete their internship any time within the first three years of their studentship and they are provided with a bursary to support their travel and accommodation requirements.
